Description
Grape Varieties: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc—crafted to perfection.
Soil: Unique “ponca” marlstone, rich in water retention, typical of the Collio zone, giving the wine its distinct character.
Training System: Guyot-trained vines at 4,000 per hectare, with short pruning for low yields and highly concentrated quality.
Vinification: Traditional Friulian fermentation on skins in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures (+10° to +28°C).
Ageing: Aged in stainless steel for a short period, followed by 14 months in Slavonian or French oak barrels. Final refinement takes place in the bottle.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Vibrant ruby red with elegant garnet tinges.
- Bouquet: Intense and layered aromas of fresh grass, wood resin, spicy hints, morello cherry, and violet.
- Palate: Dry, warm, and full-bodied with rich flavors and a subtle, spicy finish.
