Description
Handpicked at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo fermentation in open-fermenters at 26ºC to 28ºC for 5-7 days, with punch-through every 4 hours. The wine is pressed at 5º Balling, then completes spontaneous malolactic fermentation in tanks. It’s aged in 225L French oak barrels for added complexity and depth.
Maturity:
The wine is carefully aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels, contributing to its refined structure and richness.
Winemaker’s Notes:
A vibrant and complex Pinotage, with aromas of red fruits, vanilla, exotic spices, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers flavors of oriental spice, chocolate, and roasted banana, with a smooth texture and well-integrated tannins. Ready to drink now, this wine will continue to evolve over the next 5 years.
